Andrew Mitton
Andrew has practiced law in Alaska for over 26 years. He worked in law firms and as in-house counsel for large corporations. Andrew is a small business owner himself. He started Vellum LLC in 2011. Why start a new company? Because there’s a much better way to provide legal services to Alaska’s small businesses and nobody else was doing it. So he redesigned the law firm from the ground up so that small businesses like yours can have a legal department like the big guys. He also started The Eureka Space (see below).
Andrew has advised hundreds of clients on business structuring and has formed their LLCs, negotiated and drafted thousands of contracts, helped numerous companies with the purchase and sale of their businesses, and pretty much everything associated with small business law.
He attended Brigham Young University for his undergraduate degree and attended the University of North Dakota for his law degree.
Andrew is a big fan of Alaska. He’s lived here for over 26 years. His wife was born here. They raised their four children here. His wife’s grandparents moved here in 1949. Andrew says, “I think Alaska is the greatest place in the world to raise a family. I want to do my part for Alaska. I’ve concluded that the best way to do this is to help Alaska’s local small businesses and their owners achieve their calling in life.”
